But ain’t it the damn truth.
Ever hear about the Crabs in a Bucket?
Know what happens when you put a bunch of crabs in a big bucket?
A few will always try to escape.
These are smarter than the others. They know what’s coming- a big boiling pot of water, that’s what.
As soon as they try to run, all the other crabs pull them back down into the bucket, ensuring the group’s collective demise.
“If I cannot have it, neither can you”
We all know people like this. They are everywhere. Always rooting for others to fail because they themselves have failed, are afraid to try, or are too lazy to even attempt to better themselves or go after their dreams.
So instead of rooting others on to success, they try to drag them back down into the bucket telling you “that isn’t possible”, “that’ll never work”, “why, are you too good for us?”, or “grow up and get a real job”.
Ever hear any of this before?
If you haven’t, you aren’t working hard enough towards your goals and dreams.
Because as soon as you start bettering yourself, you are gonna hear this, from almost everyone.
Your friends. Your Family. Your Spouse.
Why?
Deep down these people know they are not living up to their potential. But instead of working to fix that, they would rather make sure everyone else is operating in their same lowly state.
Because as soon as you break out of that lifestyle & mentality, then they must face themselves and admit they are living a sub-par life, that they are not achieving their dreams. And that’s just too hard to face, so instead they want everyone else equally miserable.

Root for others and their successes. Surround yourself with friends who are winners, people that dream big and work hard.
